MiDAS
Every time an EDCT vehicle is hired the driver must have a legal and up-to-date MiDAS certificate. MiDAS is a nationally recognised standard across all Community Transport operators and statutory organisations.
It ensures best practice is followed while driving a minibus and ensures that the driver has proven to be both competent and confident in driving a minibus, and (if the Accessible module is also undertaken) proficient in carrying and securing wheelchair passengers.
Prior to booking your MiDAS course, please ensure that you meet the eligibility criteria to enable you to undertake the qualification.
Darren Heron out MiDAS Trainer/Assessor has been delivering this course for past 5 years and delivers the syllabus in an informative and friendly manner. In the period of time Darren has been facilitating the MiDAS modules there has only been 2 failures out of over 500 sessions. |

PATS
For groups that provide a Passenger Assistant (or Escort) to aid the driver on their hires, the PATS course is a must.
This course ensures that the Passenger Assistant fully understands their roles and responsibilities, and more importantly, the correct way to deal with people of all abilities and the potential hazards of working with passengers.
Darren Heron is also our PATS Trainer/Assessor delivering this course for over 4 years.
